Speaking of powers, some of his old powers (like hovering and grinding) are available from the start, so there's no need to unlock them again. What he can unlock depends on his Karmic alignment.
#Infamous 2 festival of blood deliver the humans here glyph upgrade#
Like the first game, there is an upgrade system that allows Cole to improve his powers.Cole gains access to 2 new powers from allies Kuo and Nix Kuo gives him Ice powers, Nix gives him Fire powers.Cole in particular was completely overhauled as a character, being made into more of a wise-cracker and having a more fleshed out personality this time around. The characters are better in this game, including the new characters.Infamous 2 also has some great twists, too. The story is also more emotional this time around, especially BOTH of the possible endings. The story is much better in this game, with better written themes about vengeance, forgiveness, betrayal, sacrifice, and what it means to be a hero and a villain. The standout track is the ending credits song Fade Out.

This is the first game in the series that used motion capture. The karma system is much more meaningful in this game. This includes having two new characters, Lucy Kuo and Nix, who represents Good Karma and Evil Karma respectively, but also having an ending which is completely different if you finish it good or evil, unlike the first game which only had slight differences. There are three factions in the world just like in the previous game, but instead of being divided by three districts, they're all fighting for the same district. The side missions were also improved in this game. Not only do they seem a lot less repetitive, but the good side missions represent one of the new characters, Lucy Kuo, and the evil side missions represents another one of the new characters, Nix.Going along with # 3, when traversing the open world you can sometimes find two factions fighting each other, which makes the world feel even more alive than before.Regarding that last one, Sucker Punch even put a trophy in the game when you climb your first fence. Not only is your grinding much faster, and your hovering ability can lift you in the air slightly, but you can also fly up pipes in the sides of buildings and you can climb fences. Traversing the city is also improved in this game. You can even buy different finishing moves with your experience points. The melee combat is improved in this game with the introduction of the Amp.
